THE ICE CREAM QUARTER
40 Chelmer Road, Homerton

The owners of the Ice Cream Factory, the Valente Brothers, are exploring proposals to redevelop the site located at 40 Chelmer Road in Homerton. Proposals are being developed for new housing and workspace on the site.
Our current plan includes the demolition of the existing building to facilitate the delivery of 24 new apartments, five mews houses, and a co-working space, all designed to fit sensitively within the existing neighbourhood.
This website provides information about the project, explains our plans, and it will give you the opportunity to share your thoughts. The website also provides information about upcoming community engagement events, and details of how you can contact the project team.
Following initial pre-application meetings with Hackney Council, we are now in a position to display our proposals at a public exhibition, the details for which you will find below, alongside a contact from so you can get in touch with the team.
